Customer Reviews
Real customers, real mornings, real French pastries.
Perfect. Just perfect. I do not know what else to say.
ok so i was NOT expecting this. ordered on a whim and honestly blown away. the baguette is INSANE. crust is perfect, inside is soft and chewy. my kids ate the whole thing before i even got a slice lol. already reordered
Je suis francaise et j'habite aux Etats-Unis depuis 8 ans. Trouver de vrais pain aux raisins ici semblait impossible. Ces viennoiseries sont authentiques, je n'en reviens pas. Merci infiniment. Je recommande a tous les expatries francais.
5 stars.
I have spent years chasing the almond croissant I had at a small boulangerie in the Marais district of Paris. Rich frangipane, shatteringly crisp exterior, that intoxicating almond-butter perfume filling the kitchen as it bakes. I had accepted I would never find it in Arizona. I was wrong. These are that croissant. I do not say that lightly.
Ordered for a sunday brunch, guests thought i bought them from a fancy bakery. didnt tell them they came frozen haha. will 100% order again
Lived in Paris for three years. These are as close as I have found in the US. Worth every penny.
As a home baker who has spent years trying to perfect baguettes, I can tell you the fermentation on these is done properly. You taste the complexity that only comes from a long, slow rise. The crust has genuine color and the crumb structure is open and irregular as it should be. I am both impressed and slightly humbled.
bought as a gift for my mom. she cried a little. enough said.
Parfait. Absolument parfait. The custard cream inside is silky and not too sweet. Raisins are plump, not dry. The glaze gives a beautiful finish. I have zero notes. This is how pain aux raisins should taste.
NOT JUST GOOD FOR FROZEN. JUST GOOD. full stop. best thing ive eaten this year and i eat a lot of good things
My wife and I do a proper French breakfast every Sunday morning. Coffee, good butter, good jam, newspaper. These croissants have elevated that ritual considerably. Twelve minutes in the oven and the whole apartment smells like a boulangerie. Our Sunday mornings are now genuinely sacred.
grew up in bordeaux. these passed my test. thats all i will say
Christmas morning baguette with brie and charcuterie. My French-Canadian in-laws were impressed and they are not easy to impress when it comes to bread. That is my whole review.
I serve these at my monthly brunch and people consistently think I made them myself or found some secret local bakery. I have stopped correcting them. The chocolate croissants are the first to go every single time, usually before I even sit down.
In New Orleans we take food seriously. These hold their own. The butter is clean and rich, the layers shatter properly when you bite. Outstanding.
my grandma used to get pain aux raisins every sunday from the boulangerie near her house. eating these made me think of her. thats the best thing i can say about any food.
Used WELCOME10 on my first order. Absolute steal. The almond croissants alone are worth the full price many times over. I am now on a monthly recurring order and I do not see that changing.
Brought these to a work breakfast. 12 people, 12 croissants, zero leftovers. Three coworkers texted me asking for the link before noon. Happy to share the credit with My French Baker.
i dont usually order food online but my girlfriend convinced me. glad she did. the pain au chocolat is something else. reordering this week
My children call it the singing bread because of the sound it makes when you break it fresh from the oven. We eat it with salted butter while it is still warm every Friday evening. This has become a non-negotiable family tradition.
Better than most of what I ate during an actual trip to France last year. I realize how that sounds. I stand by it.
Bought these as a birthday treat for myself. The smell when they come out of the oven. I cannot describe it. Just order them and find out.
My wife grew up in Lyon and is extremely difficult to impress regarding French pastry. She ate the almond croissant, said nothing for a full minute, and then asked me to order more immediately. That is a five star review by any measure.
impulse buy, zero regrets, already reordered twice. the pain aux raisins are dangerously good
I have tried every French bakery in Detroit. None of them come close to this. The fact that these come frozen and taste this authentic is frankly impressive. Whoever developed this product knows exactly what they are doing.
third order this month. send help.
Made a ham and brie sandwich. Friends thought I bought the bread from a specialty store. I did not correct them. The crust is shatteringly crisp, the crumb soft and chewy. A genuinely perfect baguette.
I host a brunch every month and these have become the centerpiece. Guests always comment on the pastries. When I tell them they come frozen from an online bakery they are visibly confused. The best kind of confused.
My mother is Parisian and was visiting for the holidays. She tried the croissant, went quiet, then said it reminded her of Lenotre. I could not have asked for a better endorsement.
tried another frozen brand before this one. big mistake. should have started here. the difference is enormous. these taste like they were made this morning.
Did not expect to find pastries this good shipping to Oklahoma. Pleasantly surprised on every level. Consistent quality across three orders now. My French Baker has a loyal customer.
Made a whole hotel-style breakfast at home for my partner. Fresh croissants, good coffee, jam, newspaper. Partner said it was the most romantic breakfast I have ever made. Credit goes largely to you.
was skeptical honestly. "frozen french pastry" sounded like an oxymoron to me. then i tried it. now i understand. will be ordering every month
Used for French onion soup croutons. Caramelized beautifully. Then ate the rest of the baguette plain while still warm because I could not stop myself. Magnificent.
Three kids with three very different opinions on everything. All three agree on these chocolate croissants. That alone is worth five stars.
I have a culinary background including time spent in France. I am not easy to impress. These impressed me. Proper frangipane, proper lamination, proper result. Bravo.
everything arrived frozen solid, dry ice still present. baked the next morning. result: golden, fragrant, impossibly flaky. new favorite delivery service by a wide margin
My grandmother brought pain aux raisins every Sunday. These made me think of her. Food with that kind of power deserves five stars without hesitation.
i live in new york. there are actual french bakeries here. i still order from my french baker because these are better than most of them. make of that what you will
Ordered for the first time for a weekend treat. Have now ordered five times. The pain au chocolat is exceptional in every way. Two proper chocolate batons, real laminated dough. Nothing about this product feels like a compromise.
New year, new obsession. Got these as a new year treat and now I cannot imagine my Sunday mornings without them. The croissants are absolutely perfect.
je suis originaire de Lyon. ca fait 12 ans que je vis aux US. ces croissants aux amandes sont la meilleure chose que j'ai mangรฉe depuis longtemps. vraiment impressionnรฉ
sent a box to my sister in boston as a birthday gift. she called me crying. that is a five star review.
I work in food. I know what good bread is supposed to taste like. This baguette is the real thing: proper oven spring, open crumb, crust that shatters when you bite. Do not waste your time with anything else.
Absolutely divine. I served these at a Valentine's Day breakfast in bed and my husband said it was the best morning of his life. High bar. They cleared it.
valentines day delivery. spot on. wife very happy. marriage saved by frozen pastry.
I have tried every croissant delivery service I could find in the past two years. Nothing comes close to this. The difference is the quality of the butter and the precision of the lamination. These people know what they are doing.
my 7yr old asked me "dad can we have the fancy bread again". thats the review.
Made a proper charcuterie board with this baguette for a dinner party. Four guests independently asked where I bought the bread. One asked if I had baked it myself. I have never been so flattered and I did nothing.
Fourth order. Not my last. The pain au chocolat remains as good as the first time. Some products disappoint once the novelty wears off. Not this one.
I hosted an Easter brunch and these croissants were the highlight of the table. Eight people, zero leftovers, multiple requests for the brand. Already placed my next order.
Croissants are fantastic, no question. Took off one star because the website was confusing at first and I could not figure out the box builder right away. Once I got it it was fine. Product is excellent.
pastries = 5 stars, no contest. checkout on mobile felt a bit long and i nearly gave up halfway through. glad i didnt. will order again but maybe fix the mobile experience?
Excellent product. I would have preferred to order 2 or 3 to test before committing to a larger quantity. The minimum order felt steep for a first timer. That said, I was glad I committed once I tasted them. Would recommend.
Pastries are genuinely superb, no question. Four stars only because I would have liked a smaller starter pack option to try before committing to a larger quantity. That said, once I tasted the pain au chocolat I had zero regrets. Will absolutely reorder.
Best baguette I have found outside a specialty bakery, truly. One end had thawed slightly on arrival, less dry ice than I expected. Mentioned it to customer service, they responded quickly and were very helpful. Four stars, leaning five.
really good croissants. lost one star because the tracking info stopped updating for two days and i panicked. everything arrived fine in the end. would be nice to have better tracking visibility. product itself is great
The almond croissants are wonderful, genuinely one of the best things I have eaten in a while. Dropped one star only because my order confirmation email went to spam and I spent two days wondering if the order had gone through. All resolved. Product is superb.
Delicious, no doubt. Four stars because two of the twelve arrived slightly crushed in the box. Not a huge deal but worth mentioning. Customer service was immediately responsive. The ones that arrived intact were perfect.
Croissants are very good. Delivery arrived two days late, dry ice gone, pastries thawed. My French Baker sent a replacement immediately at no charge and the second delivery was perfect. Three stars because it should not have taken a second attempt, but the response was good.
product quality is not the issue at all. first order was delayed almost a week by the carrier. got refunded on shipping and still received the order eventually. chocolate croissants were delicious. hoping next delivery is smoother.
Website was very slow for me and crashed during checkout on my first try. Had to switch devices to complete the order. Three stars for the experience overall. The pain aux raisins themselves were wonderful, I will probably order again on desktop.
Delivery took an extra three days due to weather, dry ice was gone on arrival. My French Baker refunded the shipping and reshipped within 48 hours. The replacement order was perfect. Three stars because the first experience was stressful, but the product and the recovery were both solid.
Croissants are excellent, truly. My complaint is entirely with the carrier. Package sat at a depot for 4 days with no update. Reached out to My French Baker and they took care of it right away, full reshipment no questions asked. Would go back, hoping the logistics improve.
The croissants are excellent, zero complaints on quality. Two stars because my order arrived four days late and completely thawed. Contacted support twice before getting a response. They did refund me immediately and reshipped. Second order was perfect. I will try again but the first experience was frustrating.
original order never showed up. waited 10 days. contacted my french baker and they reshipped within 24h and refunded the original at no cost. the replacement croissants were genuinely delicious. product would be 5 stars. experience was stressful. communication could be more proactive.
Two stars for the logistics, five stars for the baguette itself. Arrived fully thawed after a major carrier delay. Texture was affected and it was not the experience I paid for. Customer service refunded everything and reshipped. Replacement arrived frozen and was outstanding. The company handled it well but it should not have happened.
